I love my Business
As I was putting together this week's newsletter, all of I could think of was how much I love my stamping business!
I get to share my love of paper crafting with people from all over the country, showing them how to use the latest products and get better at the craft themselves... and I get paid for it!
It really is a blessing.
As some of you know, part of my business is helping other people start stamping businesses of their own. So, if any of what I just described above sounds attractive to you, I'd love to tell you more about becoming a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.
Please feel free to email (just reply to this email) or call me at 905-802-9902 if you'd like to learn more.
You will need a clear block to mount your cling or photopolymer stamps. Only some of Stampin' Up! larger stamps, have an option to include a wood block. What I love about the clear blocks is that you save space with a smaller stamp set to store. You add your stamp to the block each time you want to stamp. I just keep a bowl of blocks on my crafting table so that I have them handy when I want to stamp.
But how do you know what size?
Generally, you will just match the block size to the size of the stamp. If the block is too small, the stamp won't fit properly and you won't get the even pressure needed to create a good impression. It the block is too big, then you risk rocking the stamp and getting ink on the edges of the block that transfers to your cardstock. Or even worse you get a blurred impression.
I find I use size “D”, “C”, “A” , “G” and “B” (in that order) the most.
To get the correct size:
You can look at the recommended sizes from Stampin' Up! (They are listed in the catalogues, online and on the stamp cases).
Feel free to ask me too, if you aren't sure.
Also, you can use this template. Simply print it out and you can lay it over any stamp image or lay your stamps on the template to get the correct size. The template is actual size.
If you have a question for me, just reply to this email.
We dare you to find a stamp set that has more dachshund-related puns than the Hot Dog Stamp Set. Pair the adorable doggies with smile-inducing messages to create perfect cards for the dog lovers in your life. Long and short of it, you need this set!

Starting this month, there are some new chickens in town. There are new dies that coordinate with the Birthday Chick stamp set and they are so cute (barns and fences etc). And there is a return of an old favourite.
