Purple Posy & Black Friday | Stamp with Jenn Weekly Update
Published: Tue, 11/26/19
Dear :
Have you noticed the "Nature's Beauty" stamp set in the back of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue? It is a gorgeous stamp set with a unique feature. A portion of every sale of "Nature's Beauty" goes toward mental health organizations in Canada. I'm featuring two cards with this stamp set in this issue.
I've got a special for you for Black Friday this Friday. See the details below and I'll be sending out a reminder on Friday too.
Other reminders:
Items in the Holiday Catalogue are only available until January 2nd (or sooner if some of the accessories items run out!).
I've got the details on the "Purple Posy" ink below,
I've changed the monthly host code starting today (see it below).
Don't forget to to fill in my Christmas Wish List. Most people who fill in this Wish List get the items on their list!
Happy Stamping!
Nature's Beauty Z-Fold
Use masking and LOTS Of glitter to make this pretty nature inspired Christmas card.
If you haven’t tried our Shimmer Paint (Champagne Mist 147044, Frost White 147046) you really need to! It adds just a hint of “metallic shine” to your paper crafting project … so pretty at this time of year. But did you know
it can be used for hobbies other than paper crafting?
Here’s my TIP: Try Shimmer Paint on wood or pottery projects. Add shimmer (literally!) to the Tags & Feathers Elements (page 47 of Holiday catalog 150455). Decorate a clay pot with Paint applied with a Sponge Dauber (133773) or Stamping Sponge (141337). Basically, Shimmer Paint can be added to any porous surface and will ‘set’ in about 15 seconds when dried with a Heat Tool (129053) [much longer if you use a hair dryer].
So when creating your holiday gifts this year, don't forget to add a little Shimmer!
Get What you Really Want this Christmas
Fill in this quick and easy Wishlist and I'll do the work to spread your list around.
Fill in your Wish List by Dec. 6th, and I'll put your name in a draw to win the exclusive host set Greatest Part of Christmas (see pic in last week's news). I'll do the draw on Dec.7th.
There are two ways to fill in your list: online or by printing a list and emailing me.
Use nature's beautiful images to create a quiet scene for any project. Pair the realistic images in the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set with your favourite greeting set for any occasion! Help us make a difference in the lives of those you care about with your purchase of this stamp set. A portion of every sale goes toward mental health organizations in Canada.
Sadly this ink is being discontinued. Read below for what Stampin' Up! has said about the ink.
If you bought the Purple Posy ink pad and you have an issue with the colour they will offer you a one time $10.25 coupon code. Please contact me immediately to get this code as it has a short life span.
Please note that this only affects the ink and the ink refill. Card stock, markers, Blends, and accessories are still all available and will continue to be available.
Stampin' Up! has said:
"Despite our efforts to resolve issues with Purple Posy ink, we have learned that the ink colour is still shifting over time. This means that the colour is coordinating more loosely than we typically allow with our colours. Due to these ongoing challenges, we have decided to discontinue Purple Posy classic ink. All of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive ink colours are run through a vigorous series of tests to get ahead of challenges
like this, and to ensure colours are accurate and meet our standards of coordination. Purple Posy did pass regular testing standards in time-simulating ovens, but we have now identified that it fell short when it came to actual time passing. The colour begins to shift once the ink has rested in the ink pad for about six weeks. It is rare for Stampin’ Up! or our ink manufacturer to have such persistent issues with ink; Purple Posy has certainly been an anomaly. We completed full testing on 11
distinct batches of Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink before releasing the current version. We are now confident that no additional efforts would uphold our coordination needs over time. We appreciate your patience as we have worked through this manufacturing difficulty and regret that we are unable to share better news."
If you don't have an actual copy of it in your hands please email me to fun@stampwithjenn.com to let me know and I'll get you a copy. You can also view it online HERE.
