Q. Why don't my new 3D embossing folders fit in my Big Shot? Â
Â
A. I love the new 3D embossing folders from the Stampin' Up! Catalogue, especially the new "Scripty" one! However, these new folders are a bit thinner than the old Dynamic Folders (they will fit the upcoming die cutting machine perfectly*). There are two things you can do to help with with problem
Shim your Big Shot with extra card stock pieces to add height to the sandwich. It might take 3-5 pieces of card stock. Go slow and add one sheet at a time to see what works. You don’t want to don't break your machine with a sandwich that is TOO thick.
Use the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate. This plate is not shown in any catalogue.  The new plate makes up the difference in measurement between the old-style Dynamic Folders and the new-style 3D Folders. The 3D Embossing Folder Plate replaces the Standard Cutting Pads in your 3D embossing folder sandwich. See more below.
