Have you used Stampin' Up!'s white ink before? Why is it listed as "new" in the catalogue?
I've got a few tips for you. Also a reminder that I have catalogues that I'm looking to give out to you! Let me know if
you still need one!
Happy Stamping!
Do you know about my local classes?
If you haven't seen a notice about my local, Burlington, Ontario classes, it might be because you are not on my class newsletter list (this is a separate publication from this newsletter). If you aren't sure, just click on SIGN UP and they system will tell you.
Stampin' Up!'s White Ink is shown on page 200 of the newest Stampin' Up! catalogue. This ink is a little different than the Classic ink pads or even the Archival or Memento Pads. The Whisper White ink pad is an oil based pad, or pigment based, instead of water based like all our other pads.
You can use it to stamp white sentiments on dark card
stock. And because if it a "wet" ink you can use it to emboss images.
Although this ink has been around for a while, it is listed as "new" in the catalogue as it tended to leak during shipping. So now you get the refill and can ink the pad at home instead!
Thanks to Maria L. for this question. I'll be
sending you a card as a thanks. Please let me know what questions you have!
See some pics below and some tips on the white ink pad.
Ink up your pad before the first use. Just enough to make the pad just damp to the touch. And then let it sit overnight. Then each time you go to use your pad, you check to see if it needs re-inking. And if it does, you just need a little bit of ink.
Use a
light hand when applying ink to the stamp.
Let the ink dry on your project or use a heat gun to dry it.
Use white ink with white embossing powder for a crisp white image or words.
Sponge white ink on dark card stock to give a chalk board look.
Rich, permanent Whisper white pigment ink for embossing or for creating an opaque look on dark card stock. Use refill to ink your pad prior to first use.
