Is it time to Retire? | Stamp with Jenn April 2016 Newsletter
Published: Tue, 04/05/16
Dear :
In this month's newsletter I've got lots of cute projects (love the box project at the end), the weekly deals and a fun contest about the Retiring Products that will be listed on April 18th.
Just a heads up too, that the Weekly Deals will only run for 2 more weeks (and there are LOTS of them this week) so check it out while you can. And I'm always looking for new team members. Let me know if it is time for you to retire your old job and start a fabulous new one!
And finally if you haven't checked out my new blog yet, please take a look...I'm so
excited about how it looks.
Let me know if you have any stamping questions! Happy Stamping!
Watercolour Technique
Watercolouring is trendy right now, and we can use the look of watercolour in our stamping! Use a piece of a window sheet and markers on watercolour paper to make a background for a card or project.
When you're looking for a new technique to create a special birthday card, grab some washi tape and turn it into a party hat! This technique is very easy to do and works for young, old, or any age in between!
It feels so good to create a bright and cheery card to officially welcome spring. I’m sure some of you are looking forward to getting out in the dirt to start planting! If you’re not able to yet, this card should connect you to your inner gardener
Q: It seems lately that I just tap-tap-tap-tap-tap on my stamp pad and still the image on my card stock isn’t quite as solid or intense as I think it should be. How do I get a sharper, richer image when I ink up my stamp and then stamp on my cardstock?
A: You probably need to refill your stamp pad. Hopefully, you have ink refills for every stamp pad you purchase because this can happen when you aren’t expecting it. You will find the refills for our Classic Inks on pages 137-141; for our specialty inks of page 163.
Have a plastic spoon or a used gift card on hand as a
scraper. Place several rows of dots of ink refill on your stamp pad and then ‘pull’ that ink with the scraper, left to right and top to bottom of the stamp pad. That will spread the ink equally on the top of the pad. Check to see if you have enough ink by inking up your stamp and stamping the image on a piece of scrap or Grid Paper (130148). If your pad is very dry you might have to repeat the process — but use less ink refill the second time.
Birthday Page for 90th Birthday Scrapbook
When someone turns 90 years old, there needs to be a celebration with lots of glitz. Here is a scrapbook page to document that wonderful day. It is full of sparkle and glitz.
You never know when you’ll need quick card. Keep a cute little box loaded with note cards and envelopes within arms reach and these last minute “thoughts” will be ready in an instant.
