Question:  When I am rubber stamping sometimes the stamp leaves an extra edge mark, how can I get rid of this?

Answer: I call this "catching an edge" and there are several things you can do to avoid it from happening again

  • Don't rock the stamp when you press it down on your paper, press firmly buy don't rock it.

  • Before you stamp but after you have inked the stamp, turn it over and look at it, if you see ink on the edge, wipe it off with a damp cloth before you stamp the image.

  • You can always make what is called a "creative adjustment" and add a ribbon or an embellishment over the top of the mark.

Rotary Addition = Extra Trimmer Options

With the addition of the new rotary arm, the Stampin' Up! trimmer has all the advantages of two types of paper cutters.

See page 176-177 of the Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue for list of products.

Simply snap the original arm out of the trimmer and insert the Rotary Addition. A rotary trimmer has a thin, very sharp round blade for cutting and cuts more like a pizza slicer. One of the main advantages of having a Rotary Trimmer is the clean cuts it makes.

I prefer cutting my cardstock with on a rotary cutter. You can also cut multiple sheets of cardstock with a rotary cutter. The other advantage is that you can add in decorative blades to the rotary cutter including: scallop, wave and perforating.

For both cutting arms you will use the cutting mat that is included with your original trimmer. HOWEVER you need to rotate the cutting mat to the grooved side for the original Trimmer and the smooth side for the Rotary Addition.
